Available Boxers Pending Medical Treatment

Please Read

This Web site is updated every day with new information about our dogs. Please do not email us or call our phone number to ask for 'more information' about dogs that interest you. Whatever we know about the dog is posted here. We receive about 20 - 50 emails and calls every day. It's impossible for our volunteers to work, take care of the Boxers AND answer all general inquiries that come in. You must be an approved applicant to visit a dog or contact a foster home. This is for the safety of our dogs and foster families. Click here to learn more about the adoption process.

Your cooperation is greatly appreciated!

Daisey Do Wop

Age: 3.5 years
Gender: Female
Coloring: Fawn
Weight:
Dogs: Yes
Cats: No
Kids: Yes
Contact: Paulette
FBR#: F10-088

Comments: Update 7/10/10: Hi! I'm Daisy Do Wop (its really Daisy Duke but there's already one of those at FL Boxer Rescue). I am at the vet's getting my second heart worm treatment. I feel a little punky for a few days but then I feel like a million billion bucks! My foster parents are taking good care of me and I love my fur brother. We tussle and we snuggle and we mostly vie for attention from mom and dad. I can't get enough hugs and loves and cuddles from them. I like to get my head and ears scratched and my tummy rubbed, and I like to play "grab my feet" with foster dad. I like to take long walks with my fur brother and see all the sights in the neighborhood, including some squirrels and bunnies early in the morning. I very politely let him eat his dinner and he lets me eat mine.I don't mind taking a bath but there is no way I will swim in the pool. [more]

DeeDee

Age: 5-6 years
Gender: Female
Coloring: Flashy fawn
Weight: 50 pounds
Dogs: Yes
Cats: Unknown
Kids: Unknown
Contact: Sandy C
FBR#: F10-131

Comments: Update 9/9/10: September 9th: This morning, DeeDee was fully into the routine of breakfast. She went out with the other furry kids and came back in and was bouncing around waiting on me to fix breakfast. She pranced over to the crates while I was giving her little foster siblings their breakfast and ran back into the kitchen where she patiently sat for me to put down the others' bowls and then hers. She is now waiting on the okay signal like everybody else before she begins to eat. She just looks at me and is wiggling her little tail as fast as she can. She has become one happy girl.

After breakfast she goes out with everyone and when she comes back in she is messing with Rummy, her youngest furry foster brother. She is trying to get him to play with her, but he is looking at me like what does she want?? [more]

Hope

Age: 4-6 years
Gender: Female
Coloring: Flashy fawn
Weight: 46 pounds
Dogs: Unknown
Cats: Unknown
Kids: Unknown
Contact: Claire
FBR#: F10-134

Comments: 7/21/10: Hope was found by a good samaritan wandering the streets. She was very emaciated and appears to have been used for breeding purposes only. Despite her rough life she has the most amazing nub wag and is full of gentle kisses for everyone she meets. Do you have a place in your heart and home to help her recover?

Mambo

Age: 4 years
Gender: Male
Coloring: Brindle
Weight: 65 pounds
Dogs: Yes
Cats: Unknown
Kids: Yes
Contact: Angie K
FBR#: F10-146

Comments: Update 8/23/10: Mambo will be going thru Heartworm Treatment so we will not be accepting applications for him at this time; please look at one of our other boxers available for adoption.

8/15/10: Mambo just got to his foster home and is now settling in with the household. We'll have more about him in a few days.

Remy
Age: 3 years
Gender: Male
Coloring: Flashy fawn
Weight: 59 pounds
Dogs: Unknown
Cats: Unknown
Kids: Unknown
Contact: Veronica J
FBR#: F10-096

Comments: 5/28/10: Remy has been rescued by FBR and will start heartworm treatment in early June. He did very well on his car rides - we had 4 canine-chauffeurs [volunteers] help him get to his foster home - and he has been very well-behaved. Due to his treatment schedule, he won't be available to meet potential adopters until late July.

Timex

Age: 5-6 years
Gender: Male
Coloring: Fawn
Weight: 23 pounds
Dogs: Unknown
Cats: Unknown
Kids: Unknown
Contact: Sam
FBR#: F10-141

Comments: Update 9/6/10: Timex was neutered yesterday (we have yet to break that news to him) and is doing well. His weight is just under 40 pounds, but he has an 80 pound attitude as he struts his small, skinny frame around the kennel as if he owns the place. He loves to be the first one out and often pulls me out the door on our walks, so we are working on his manners :) Timex continues to be highly verbal if he feels as though he is being ignored. He has had another flare up of colitis, though it was a little better as of this morning after he was placed back on his original antibiotic regiment yesterday.

Thank you for all of your thoughts and prayers for this tough little guy. The top two pictures of Timex are new!

Update 8/24/10: Timex is doing better and has become very bossy, barking when he wants attention and attempting to take the leash from me and walk himself when we go outside. He is, however, still having some medical issues and is on another drug. He is now 34.1 pounds. See his newest picture (top).

8/11/10: This baby boy is VERY sick with a dangerously low blood count. He had an emergency transfusion. He is estimated at 5-6 years old and weighs just under 25 pounds. Timex is extremely weak and is barely able to walk on his own, but in great Boxer style, he mustered just enough energy to give me a sweet gentle kiss. More to come when he is stablized.
