is Abbie and I am a happy, petite little girl. I recently made
it to my foster home with two other boxers. I get pretty jealous
when they're anywhere near my foster dad. He's working on it
with me though so I can learn to be a calm and submissive boxer
girl. My previous owner surrendered my buddy Harley and me to
Osceola Animal Services. We both have heartworms, which is very
expensive. But, now that we're with Florida Boxer Rescue, we'll
be nursed back to great health before adoption. So, check back
and then I'll be ready to meet my new family. I hope it's you!

Hi, My name is Achillas. I need to find a new home so let me
tell you about myself.
I am 4 years old and I like kids
and other dogs. I am an inside dog and housebroken. When my
parents go to work I have free roam of the house and do fine.
I know some basic commands and don't really have any bad habits.
I sleep in the bed with my dad. Me and my sister need a new
home, so look at Diamond also while visiting
this site. We would like to stay together if possible, we are
bonded and get along great. In the picture, I'm the handsome
boxer on the right...that's my sister Diamond on the left.

Update 12/22/09: Amara is a very

but is not uncontrollable, and is eager to please. She loves
everyone that she meets, regardless of age, and really enjoys
human interaction. Amara is one of the sweetest dogs I have

from Annie! I am whole lot more self assured now so I can speak

little girl, but those days are behind me now! I play with the
other dogs and I'm not afraid. I have made one real good friend
and his name is Stubbs. He helps me with some of my uncertainty
and I would love to go to a new home with him. I could probably
be okay without him though, but we've gotten pretty used to
each other. Check out our story here.
2/28/10: Annie was found as a stray by
her last owner. She lived with two other dogs and a cat, with
which she was fine. From the pictures Annie appears to be young,

is a cuddly little girl who would benefit from having someone
around quite a bit. [more]

My sister Layla and I have grown up together since we were puppies
in the same litter. We share our home with two other dogs, a
cat and a varied assortment of other animals AND a little girl.
My mom's son is quite ill and now we have to find a new home.
I protect my home and play with all the others there. Sometimes
I can be a little protective of my food, and I need a bit of
leash training. I'm a happy boy who is healthy and up to date

My name is Brody, and I have been with my foster home since
the first of November, and I am doing great! I had some dental
surgery about two months ago but I am completely recovered!
We think I have a wheat allergy, so I have been eating some
organic, wheat-free food and it has helped my itching tremendously!
I love to play with my yellow rubber barbell and my Pug brother
and American Eskimo sister. I am completely house broken and
leash trained. I know how to shake, sit, and dance. I also just
learned how to balance a tennis ball on my nose! I could play
all day if you are up to it, otherwise I am more than happy
to just lay on the couch or in bed with you and cuddle! I enjoy
bird and squirrel watching from the patio, and I "MOOOO"
like a cow when I want attention. With a proper introduction
I am good with other dogs and have no aggression towards people
or children.

Brooke was rescued in 2004 and adopted by a family who just
recently had to give her up due to unfortunate circumstances.
Brooke is a sweet girl who right now is scared, timid and lost.
She has been through a lot in a few days losing her family and
male boxer companion. She will fit into a family who is willing
to give her love, understanding and exercise as she needs to
lose a few pounds. It seems exercise wasn't part of her routine
but needs to be in the future. Brooke loves kids, would do best
with another dog and does not need to be crated. Please consider

and then he will know if I am all better. I want to play soooo
bad, but I do as my foster Mom and Dad tell me. They say, settle
down baby, touch my back and I calm right down. The doctor says
I need to be calm and no running around. I am told I am a very
good girl, I never go potty in the house, I go in my crate when
everyone goes to work, and just wait until they get home. I

The vet says I am perfect. FLBR and my foster mom care so much
about me and all of the other boxers that come their way. I
am a very laid back boy. I must admit, I do love my Phoebe.
We play all the time, most of the time I let her be the bossy
one...it's fun. We do take turns pinning each other down when
we play. The other day my foster mom's Rylie and Phoebe had
me pinned down when we were playing. I was surprised, because
if you know Rylie...he hasn't walked in over a year and his
back legs do not work. He has the doggie version of MS. So I
let him help my Phoebe wrestle me to the ground. He's a cool
old Boxer. Please consider giving Phoebe and me a Furever home

here! If you’re looking for just a good old fashioned Boxer
boy, I’m the ticket! I hear a lot of noise about dogs who get
it into their head that they want to be something called “pack
leader” and that confuses me. I just want you to tell me what
to do – isn’t that the way it’s supposed to work? You lead and
I’ll gladly follow – but you’ve got to be a good leader. I get
along with all other dogs, and there’s a couple of cats that
hang out at the camp – they’re alright – if they don’t bother
me, I won’t bother them. I like kids well enough, but they’re
just a little too hyper and noisy for my taste. Like I say,
I’m an old fashioned sort of guy, I want to hang out with you,
go for walks, play a little, and then take a nice nap. If you’ve
got another pup in the house, that’s cool too – I rather like
to box and mix it up a bit. Take a look at my camp videos –
I’m the strikingly handsome one – you can’t miss me. And, by
the way, I’m astonishingly healthy so we won’t be running up
any big vet bills – I hear those guys are ex-pen-sive. [more]

very well behaved and will not jump at the door, he sits for his
treats, and he walks very well on a leash. Dakota is potty and
crate trained, and as long as his training is reinforced this
will continue. He plays well with our resident boxers who are
seniors, and knows when to stop. I believe he will do best in
a home with another boxer as he follows my male around. I also
believe with the right introduction he should do well with a cat;
I do not own one but he shows only curosity towards the cats he
sees own our walks; basically he looks at them and walks away.
He will make a great addition to any family and he has the cutest

Comments: Update 2/28/10: Hi, it's
me Dalton here! Boy am I a changed man! In my former home I
was very thin and had some nasty heartworms. Not anymore! I
love to play with my skin brothers and even met some mini skin
kids...mom says they are two. I like most dogs but I especially
prefer the ladies. Sometimes other males are too much for me.
I am ready for my forever home. Do you have a place in your
home and heart for a laid back guy like me that likes to play
ball every now and then?
Update 1/22/10: I was in such bad
shape when FBR pulled me in, but now I AM HEALTHY AS A HORSE!
If you are looking for a laid back, gorgeous Boxer boy, then
I am your man. I like to play outside with my skin brothers
and enjoy nice walks too. Won't you come visit me?

2-year-old boxer boy. He was surrendered to FBR due to his owner's
health. He was raised with other dogs, kids and a cat, so Dane
is friendly to all. He is getting along great with the foster
boxer brother and sister as well. He will need some training
for leash walking. The prior owner stated that Dane knows to
go outside, will ask to go out if someone is home, but will
use the tile floor if no one is home. The prior owner had just
started crate training prior to surrender and the foster family
is going to continue the crate training as needed. Dane is not
up-to-date on his shots but will be visiting the FBR vet today...
more information will be available afterward. Dane is a gorgeous
young boy that would love a family that has time for exercise,
and he would be thrilled with a four-legged companion.

know the kind of home that would be best for him. Is this your
home?
Dexter needs a non-smoking home with no carpet, just wood, tile
or other non-dust collecting hard surfaces. There shouldn't
be a lot of knick-knacks and/or stuffed animals that retain
dust. His yard should be St. Augustine grass with no Pine or
Palm trees. His life-long diet should be grain-free. Dexter
is going to see another vet to determine what type of maintenance
meds he requires to keep his allergies under control forever.

Hi, My name is Diamond. I need to find a new home so let me
tell you about myself.
I am 5 years old and I like kids
and other dogs. I am an inside dog and housebroken. When my
parents go to work I have free roam of the house and do fine.
I know some basic commands and don't really have any bad habits.
I sleep in the bed with my dad. Me and my brother need a new
home, so look at Achillas also while
visiting this site. We would like to stay together if possible,
we are bonded and get along great. In the picture, I'm the cute
little boxer on the left...that's my brother Achillas on the
right.

Since I am a bit on the thin side, my foster mom is working
on putting weight on me as well as teaching me how to work better
on a leash. My best friend is my sister, Sadie,
who I want to be adopted with as we are SO very close. We sleep
in the crate together and have never been apart, so I am not
sure how I would be without her. When you first meet me, I get

me in right away. I live here with 2 skin adults, a 7-year-old
skin pal. (I Love Him.) I also live with a little fur sister
and a cat. My little fur sister does not like to play very often
because my foster mommy says she's an old girl. As for the kitty,
I like to chase her sometimes. My foster mommy says I'm a wonderful
little boy. She says for the most part I listen very well. I
have my momments! I love to go for long walks, and I also learned
how to ride a bike (still not sure how I feel on that). After
dinner I get to go to a big open field where my skin brother
hides from me and I get to find him! I love that game. [more]

1.5 years ago, when he walked up to a woman's car, he was skin

all over. The woman immediately brought him to the vet to get
him fixed up and found out he was also heartworm positive, so
she had that treated last June. It's now been over six months
and he's ready to be neutered. Six months ago, while Enzo was
living with his family, they had a baby. Enzo was good with
him and also with the resident female Pitt Bull and Teacup Chihuahua.
They say he likes small dogs better than big dogs. And he has
taken chase when seeing other dogs out on his walks so his leash
training needs work! [more]

immediately to the vet where the first order of business was
a flea-bath. He's now being treated for internal parasites and
getting prepped for heartworm treatment and neutering. He has
been a sweetheart to everyone at the vet's office and seems
fine with other dogs; however, he did not pass the 'cat test'
so no cats! His first picture is of him riding from Tampa to
the vet--it shows just how hot and exhausted he was. The next
picture is the following day, at the vet's office and you can
see he already felt much better after his flea bath! His next

I'm currently at 72 pounds, but I believe I have lost a few
with the feeding schedule my new Mom has put me on. I tested
positive for hook worms and heartworms, so I'm currently under
the vet's treatment. My foster family is taking great care of
me. I am a love bunny and look like a gazelle when I move around
the backyard (yes I am walking due to heartworm treatment)...I
look so pretty ;-) I really dislike crates. My foster mom says
I really don't need one because I'm such a good girl and not
destructive at all (except the trash when no one is looking).
I love sleeping on the big pillow my foster dog brother Bettis

sagging, but now I am skinny and need to put on 20 pounds or
more. If you saw the pictures of me, you would cry. I look like

like to play as hard as I do. I have put on weight and look

You can call me JoJo, that's what my foster parents call me.
Of couse they also call me cling-on & shadow. I love to
be with people. It has been a wild couple of months. I had to

it never slowed me down. The good news is it was not cancer
but the result of a past trauma. My foster brothers are still
trying to teach me how to play with toys, I am slowly getting
it but if my foster parents look at me I drop the toy. I follow
my brothers around constantly and mimic everything they do.
I would love for my fur ever home to have another boxer to play
with. I am good with kids, cats not so much. I am crate trained
for when no human is home but love to sleep with my humans &
foster brothers. I can snore with the best of them. I hope somebody

I still wiggle and play and have tons of energy. I will need
a foster home that will be able to give me medicine daily and
probably baths a couple times a week until my fur grows back.
I'll also need to be spayed when I gain weight and feel better.
So, do ya want me? I need a foster
home ASAP! Kisses!!! [more]

12/14/09: Kaiser, aka Lil Kaiser Roll, is a picture-perfect
2-year-old Boxer Boy with all the playfulness and energy that
entails! He lost his first owner when he had to move from a
house to an apartment. Then a nice neighbor took him in, but
it turned out to be too much while caring for her young grandchildren.
I told Kaiser "third time's a charm" so his next home
will be his fur-ever home! Here's Kaiser's dream family: no
children under 13 [he plays hard and can knock little ones down],
enough time for AM and PM play and exercise sessions, and immediate
enrollment in obedience training. Kaiser does know 'sit' but
needs leash training. Kaiser is full of wiggles, kisses and
love and is looking for a family that is committed to him.

4/27/10: Kayla here! If there ever was a boxer who fit the phrase
"life of the party" it would be me. In fact, once
I find my fur-ever home I hope to remake the video "Girls
Just Want to Have Fun". I am always a very happy girl who
is ready to play. I get along great with kids, cats and other
dogs. Fortunately, I am a white boxer who has my hearing. I
do need a family that will lead me and teach me the ropes. I
am doing great at learning how to curb my enthusiasm. I hope
you will continue reinforcing what I have worked so hard to
learn. Add me to your family and I promise you lots of fun,
kisses, and most importantly lifelong companionship. As you
look through the available boxers on the site, please pause

Hello everyone! My name is Libby. I am one energetic little
boxer girl. Before I joined Florida Boxer Rescue, my original
family left me in a crate after they moved. When Animal Control
found me I was malnourished and dehydrated. Thankfully they
saved me just in time and now all I need is a little weight
and you'd never know about my previous life! My new friends
at FBR say I need some basic training. I know "sit,"
but I can learn so much more if you teach me! I liked all the
dogs at the vet's office when I was there and I wanted to give
the kids I met kisses. I'm probably a little too hyper for smaller
children, though. Not sure I know what a cat is, but if I meet
one I'll be sure to report back to ya. Other than that, I'm
ready to go! I was just spayed so all I need is a foster home,
or even better, a furever home! Come meet me and I'm sure I'll
win you over!

Randy is just an awesome boy, what more is there to say. He
fit in his foster family, that includes both a senior female
and young male boxer, in about 2.2 seconds. Randy is a beautiful
and friendly young boy that was surrendered because his Dad
is re-entering the military and will be shipped out in August.
Randy was raised with a cat. He is a typical 16-month-old boy
with lots of energy, and he needs someone to give him some exercise
and attention. He does counter climb...we'll work on that :)
He was crate trained and house trained, but just came into foster
care tonight, so I"ll provide updates.

5/9/10: Rex is a wonderful, playful boxer boy that loves to
run, play and swim! He knows sit, stay and loves to please.
He will pick out a toy and run around the house and entertain
himself with the toy for several minutes and when he's done,
he lays down. He doesn't pester you to play, but will bring
you the toy if you call him. He loves to get out in the back
yard and run around. He loves to chase after a toy and is working
on bringing it back. He loves his crate and often while I am
working on the computer he will go lay down in his crate. He
is still working on understanding that people coming into the
home are friends and you don't have to be nervous, but will
still need reassurance from his FUR ever home. He is a funny
boy and always tries to please. The most unusual thing is, he
loves to swim! That's right! He can't wait to go swimming at
his foster home. [more]

6/15/10: Rio's on a mission: she wants her fur-ever home!! Is
she persnickety? Persnickety as defined by Webster's is overparticular;
fussy. Yes, she is. But a girl can be particular when picking
her friends can't she? Rio met a 2-year-old male boxer and they
were instant friends; she even shared her food and water with
him. However, she's not like that with every dog she meets.
She's been friends with an American Bulldog and a Chihuahua,
but not so much with a German Shephard puppy and a Great Dane.
If you have another dog, please give Rio a chance and ask about
setting up a meeting. If you don't have any other dogs, Rio
is an excellent human companion. She's calm in the house, completely
house-trained and used to being crated 8-9 hours a day. She'd
love to go on daily walks or runs with you and we all need that
exercise-buddy don't we?
Rio's waiting to hear from you so please call soon!

came into my home he was a little timid but has now grown into
his own (master of the house). Rock-O loves his foster mommy!
He loves to be near his human as much as possbile. When going
to a new place he must be near her at all times. Rock-O is very
sweet natured and low maintenance. He loves going on long walks
as well as running with his foster mom. Rock-O enjoys cuddling
on the couch or in bed. He is housebroken and there is no need
to crate him. When Rock-O gets excited he likes to do the boxer
wiggle and jump around. He also enjoys car rides with the windows
open. Though small for his age, Rock-O is big in heart and love.
He loves people and likes to have any attention that he can.

Rocky was raised since a puppy with another

the two of them have done fine together and love to play tug

quite a name but there is a story behind it. You see, when I
was born two years ago to FLBR Minnie Me, my foster grandma
called me Rose; when I was adopted, my new family called me
Stella. I was returned to FLBR because my family has fallen
on hard times and is unable to take care of me, so I am now
back with my foster grandma, Lori, who has decided to keep the
name Stella so as not to confuse me, but still loves the name
Rose, so voila! Stella Rose.
I am 2 years and 3 months old and was one
of a litter of seven. When I was born my foster grandma took
extra special care to make sure that all of us pups were happy

no boundaries, little socialization, and no training. But her
foster family has done wonders with her. Roxie is a tiny, petite
little girl with the cutest little face you have ever seen on
a full grown boxer. She stands about 18 inches at the shoulder,
with a perfect litle boxer body. Although she is three, Roxie
acts and plays like a one year old. She is learning boundaries,
obeys and is bonded to her foster mother, likes people, LOVES
her fur siblings and LOVES to play non-stop all day. At night
she cuddles up in a recliner and sleeps in a crate next to the
other two dogs. She gets along well with kids about 8 to 10

Tina is a very petite sweetie pie who cannot stop the wiggle
dance. She was very happy when FLBR rescued her from the shelter.
She needs to be spayed and then begin heartworm treatment before
finding her forever home. More will be posted as her foster
family gets to know her.

learned her name yet but she's a very smart girl. Whoever had
her took the time to train her; she is house trained, crate
trained, she heels, she knows sit and down, and she does not
beg at the table. She would do best with a submissive male as
she tends to want to rule the roost.
She is very loving and wants to please you, but most of all
be loved.
Trinity just needs to finish up on her vaccines, get microchipped
and have her back feet looked at. She is the perfect little
lady. .

now finished some brush-up work on my obedience training and
I am more than ready to go! If you have a nice fenced yard and
some female companionship of the canine kind, I would love to
meet your family. But just between you and me, I really do need
someone to remind me of my manners.
3/17/10: Hi FBR! Remember me? It's
Twitch, but I now go by the name Max. Good things come around
twice, that's why you're getting to see me again. I've had a
really good few months, my new dad is a super guy and we get
along just great, but he's got a new job and it seems we won't
be spending much time together. I love all you humans, and I
really like the girl dogs, some of the guys are okay. [more]

11/1/09: Sweet little Valentine!
She is a petite little Boxer girl that has been a mom probably
several times in her short life. Once she puts on a few pounds
and heals from being spayed she will be ready to go. More to come
from her foster home. She's a sweet dog, but she has a pretty
strong prey drive, so no cats or small dogs.

12/29/09: Hi, my name is Viper.
I was named after a character from King Foo Panda. I am just settling
in with my new foster family. They have a small dog, another female
boxer and a BIG boxer boy that I just love to aggravate with my
playful puppy ways. I am kennel trained, love to run outside and
play, and did I mention that I am beautiful? My foster mom says
I am the perfect boxer, but I am ALL puppy and need to learn a
few manners. I would love to find a fur-ever home with maybe another
fur-kid or a skin kid with lot's of energy to play with me. If
you are looking for a playful pup like me, just mention my name
to Florida Boxer Rescue.

Whitney is an adorable 2-year-old boxer girl who can hear. She
just arrived in her foster home and settled in nicely. Whitney
was immediately smitten with the resident male boxer in the
home. She seems to know some basic obedience, or at least is
following cues from her foster brother. Per the vet, she is
healthy and ready to find her furever home. More to come as
the foster home gets to know her.

Willie here again! I am just letting everyone know that I am
still here. I am enjoying my foster home and playing with my
foster brothers. I love my Frisbee and ball, but my whole life
doesn't revolve around them. I enjoy long walks (doesn't have
to be raining) and cuddling. I didn't like my pictures so I
had my foster dad take new ones (aren't I handsome). So, if
you enjoy the same things as me then maybe we are a match. We
can meet and get to know each other first and see what happens
from there. If we like each other I might be willing to let
you take me to my new furever home! [more]

Comments: Update 3/15/10: Yoda is
a fabulous young man. He’s only been in his foster home for
a day, but he has already shown his great personality. He gets
excited when he is going outside and is working diligently on
his manners to sit patiently while the doors are being opened.
He walks well on his leash after a few tugs. He is not a big
fan of staying in his crate when people are around (who would
be), but he waits to be let out without any whining or barking.
Yoda loves to chase a tennis ball
and will run it right back to you although he doesn’t like to
let it go right away. He drops it eventually and is excited
to chase it again. Once he is finished playing, he seems to
think the ball belongs in his water bowl.Yoda also loves to
have his head on a pillow. He has decided that the green fuzzy
one is the pillow of choice. [more]

Boxer and a cat. He is very well mannered and has had training
by his previous owner. He has lots a Boxer wiggles and kisses
for everyone he meets. More to come after he visits the vet.
