I am 4 years old and I like kids and other dogs. I am an inside dog and housebroken. When my parents go to work I have free roam of the house and do fine. He is housebroken, crate trained and walks well on the leash, but his preference is to curl up with you nearby and be your best companion and friend. Bentley, who is such a distinguished fellow, is rather selective about his canine friends, so would prefer just you as his family. He is good with kids but not cats. Comments: 6/30/10: Brooke was rescued in 2004 and adopted by a family who just recently had to give her up due to unfortunate circumstances. Brooke is a sweet girl who right now is scared, timid and lost. She has been through a lot in a few days losing her family and male boxer companion. She will fit into a family who is willing to give her love, understanding and exercise as she needs to lose a few pounds. It seems exercise wasn't part of her routine but needs to be in the future. Brooke loves kids, would do best with another dog and does not need to be crated. Please consider giving this girl a new home!

Comments: Update 7/20/10: Mom says I am so sweet and a very gentle boy that loves everyone and everything. I now weigh 70 pounds and look great. The vet says I am perfect. FLBR and my foster mom care so much about me and all of the other boxers that come their way. I am a very laid back boy. I must admit, I do love my Phoebe. We play all the time, most of the time I let her be the bossy one...it's fun. We do take turns pinning each other down when we play. The other day my foster mom's Rylie and Phoebe had me pinned down when we were playing. I was surprised, because if you know Rylie...he hasn't walked in over a year and his back legs do not work. He has the doggie version of MS. So I let him help my Phoebe wrestle me to the ground. He's a cool old Boxer. Please consider giving Phoebe and me a Furever home together. [more]

Comments: 7/14/10: Cool Hand Duke is a beautiful well-mannered boy with a sweet, easy-going personality. He likes to sit, stay, shake, and is great with our 2 young children. He has also gotten along well with our 3 year old male boxer. The first day we got him, he went on a boat ride and had a bath in the river and loved it. He did get out our front door (my kids forgot to close it) and came right back when we called him. He seems very loving, and is great company and playmate to our other dog. I crate him at night, and he doesn't seem to mind it a bit.

Comments: 8/17/10: I am told that I am a very sweet boy! I know how to sit and shake, and I'm housebroken and give lots of hugs and boxer kisses. Since I am a bit on the thin side, my foster mom is working on putting weight on me as well as teaching me how to work better on a leash. My best friend is my sister, Sadie, who I want to be adopted with as we are SO very close. We sleep in the crate together and have never been apart, so I am not sure how I would be without her. When you first meet me, I get excited (don't all boxers?) and then I calm down once you are in the door. Please consider adopting me and Sadie as I know we will bring lots of love to your household.

Comments: Update 1/20/10: Hi everyone, my name is Dude. Pretty cool name, huh? I like it. So I will be quick and tell you about me. I have a baby, you can see it in my picture, everyone wants pictures of me when I have it. I like the cat my foster family has; I used to live with another Boxer, but he passed away. Foster Mom says I am going to meet a Boxer girl this weekend, I was told she is really nice. Foster Mom and Dad take me to the store a lot and I am a very good boy, I walk right next to them, when they stop, so do I. When the want to go, they just say "follow" and I follow them. As long as I can go, I'm good.

Comments: 2/22/10: Duncan is a beautiful little all white boxer boy who is deaf. He was picked up with his two brothers and is sharing a foster home with one of them. Duncan is very playful and loves to tumble around and play with his brother and his foster sister, Zoe. He's not shy at all and will give you lots of puppy kisses. This little fellow is a real charmer. Duncan must have a hearing dog in his home and only older children.

Comments: 4/2/10: Hello, my name is Emmitt. I came to FBR because my family is losing their home. Lucky for me this great foster family took me in right away. I live here with 2 skin adults, a 7-year-old skin pal. (I Love Him.) I also live with a little fur sister and a cat. My little fur sister does not like to play very often because my foster mommy says she's an old girl. As for the kitty, I like to chase her sometimes. My foster mommy says I'm a wonderful little boy. She says for the most part I listen very well. I have my momments! I love to go for long walks, and I also learned how to ride a bike (still not sure how I feel on that). After dinner I get to go to a big open field where my skin brother hides from me and I get to find him! I love that game. [more]

Comments: 5/12/10: We don't know where Enzo started his life, but about 1.5 years ago, when he walked up to a woman's car, he was skin and bones and had a scar around his neck from where a collar or rope had been embedded there. He also had scratches and scars all over. The woman immediately brought him to the vet to get him fixed up and found out he was also heartworm positive, so she had that treated last June. It's now been over six months and he's ready to be neutered. Six months ago, while Enzo was living with his family, they had a baby. Enzo was good with him and also with the resident female Pitt Bull and Teacup Chihuahua. They say he likes small dogs better than big dogs. And he has taken chase when seeing other dogs out on his walks so his leash training needs work! [more]

Comments: Update 11/19/09: Gregory is the most relaxed dog on the face of the earth. He loves to cuddle up to you and go to sleep. He is very mild tempered and very well mannered. He does not lick you or jump on you. Out of all my dogs, he is the most respectful and the sweetest. You open the door, and he will sit there and not move a muscle until you signal that it is OK. He is very loyal.

11/17/09: Gregory is white with hearing and was raised with his litter mate and mother. He's around other dogs most of the day. Cats are unknown. He is fine with young children. More information to come from the owner.

Comments: 11/4/09: Jasmine is a beautiful boxer gal with lots of love, kisses, wiggles and smiles. Her former owner loves her very much but realized he wasn't able to give her the attention she needs and decided to ask Florida Boxer Rescue to help find her a new home. Jazzy is one of our new "Flying Boxers", she flew from Venice Airport to Leesburg Airport to her new foster home. She had first class accommodations on her flight with Pilots N Paws and did very well on her first airplane ride. Comments: 11/17/09: Hi, my foster mom calls me Jasper or sometimes "puppy". I used to have another name, but I like this new one and I come when she tells me to. I've had a couple of homes before now and I really like it when I can live inside the house. I tried the "outside" living and I had to jump the fence to go look around...and that got me into trouble.

I like to run fast! I've made a great track around my foster mom's back yard - whew - watch me go! My foster mom says I run like a greyhound, whatever that is. I would love to have a family that would take me for a run every day. I have lots of puppy energy. [more]

1/18/10: I made it out of that awful shelter and, after several hours of traveling, I went to a wonderful family who has a beautiful boxer girl, a small mix boy, 2 cats and 7 horses. They have all welcomed me with open arms. I got so excited that I rolled on my back in the grass and twisted like the shepherd in the movie K-9 and sang 'I Feel Good'. I have a scar around my neck that shows how I had a collar embedded, but it's healed. I also have several scrapes that looks like I escaped some bad place as my mouth has a blister and a few teeth are missing.But I love my new foster family and all their critters and know life will be good from here on out. 4/28/10: I have a "New Leash on Life"! FBR came to my rescue today. My name is Jin and let me tell you a little about me. My story is sad like some of the other FBR boxers; I was bred many times just to have puppies to make money for my owner. I used to have a beautiful shape and nothing sagging, but now I am skinny and need to put on 20 pounds or more. If you saw the pictures of me, you would cry. I look like some of those animal cruelty cases. I always had to be on the defensive side and defend myself. FBR has promised to make me beautiful again and find me a loving home. I can't wait. Please think of me. Thank you!

Comments: Update 5/15/10: Hi everyone! I have finally recovered from my heartworm treatment and I am ready to go! I love to run around the yard and chase tennis balls. My foster mom wants me to bring them back but I just want to chase them. I have successfully joined the pack at my foster home with 2 boxer girls and one big boxer boy. We get along great now but they are senior boxers and don't like to play as hard as I do. I have put on weight and look fabulous now! I am very good about letting you know if I need to go outside to potty or if I need anything. I like to cuddle but if I get too hot I will go and lay down by myself. My foster mom has started to take me on long walks and I love to sniff around and discover the world outside the back yard. I have not met any skin kids yet on our walks so I haven't determined yet if they are cool or not. I am ready for a forever home with someone who is active and can help me exhaust some energy! I ride great in the car; I slept most of the way in a crate. Gave kisses to the FBR ladies who picked me up. What I do wish for is to be with another dog as I am non-hearing and need to take my cues from a hearing dog. Please will you consider me.

My name is Juliette and I'm ALL puppy. Even though I barely have any fur right now due to Demodex mange, I still wiggle and play and have tons of energy. I will need a foster home that will be able to give me medicine daily and probably baths a couple times a week until my fur grows back. I'll also need to be spayed when I gain weight and feel better.

Comments: 12/14/09: Kaiser, aka Lil Kaiser Roll, is a picture-perfect 2-year-old Boxer Boy with all the playfulness and energy that entails! He lost his first owner when he had to move from a house to an apartment. Then a nice neighbor took him in, but it turned out to be too much while caring for her young grandchildren. I told Kaiser "third time's a charm" so his next home will be his fur-ever home! Here's Kaiser's dream family: no children under 13 [he plays hard and can knock little ones down], enough time for AM and PM play and exercise sessions, and immediate enrollment in obedience training. Kaiser does know 'sit' but needs leash training. Kaiser is full of wiggles, kisses and love and is looking for a family that is committed to him.

Comments: 2/22/10: Kismet was picked up with his two brothers. He is sharing a foster home with brother Duncan. Kismet is a beautiful little white boxer with a brown spot in the middle of the top of his head. His nub is also brown. He loves to play in the yard with his brother and foster sister, Zoe. This little guy is a sweetheart. Kismet is not available as he is in a foster to adopt home.

Comments: Update 5/27/10: If you are looking for a Boxer boy to be your companion for running, rollerblading, playing in the back yard* – guess what? You’ve found me! I love all humans big and small, but for some reason, I just don’t care much for other dogs or cats. And, I do need someone to remind me about my manners, in case I forget. Even if I have to say so myself, I’m quite the handsome fellow and if you saw me on a leash you would think we were headed to Westminster! Comments: Update 11/12/09: Leroy here! I had a super exciting weekend!! My foster mom and dad took me to the Boxer Bash in Tampa--woo hoo!! There were lots of Boxers and tons of people. It was a gorgeous Florida day and we had a great time!!

I'm getting neutered in December and then I'm ready to go! Please read all about me; FBR and my foster home have taken such good care of me, but the time is getting near for me to find my own forever home.

Comments: 4/16/10: Hello everyone! My name is Libby. I am one energetic little boxer girl. Before I joined Florida Boxer Rescue, my original family left me in a crate after they moved. When Animal Control found me I was malnourished and dehydrated. Thankfully they saved me just in time and now all I need is a little weight and you'd never know about my previous life! My new friends at FBR say I need some basic training. I know "sit," but I can learn so much more if you teach me! I liked all the dogs at the vet's office when I was there and I wanted to give the kids I met kisses. I'm probably a little too hyper for smaller children, though. Not sure I know what a cat is, but if I meet one I'll be sure to report back to ya. Other than that, I'm ready to go! I was just spayed so all I need is a foster home, or even better, a furever home! Come meet me and I'm sure I'll win you over!

Comments: 4/13/10: Linus is a sweet, playful boy. He rides well in the car and gets along with our female boxer. He is familiar with a crate and he seems like he is house trained. He was a good boy while he got his bath. He played with the towel and finally fell asleep with it. We don't know what his name is so we dubbed him"Linus." He doesn't seem to be food agressive. He knows a few basic commands like "sit." Linus is underweight. We'll know more about his health after his vet appointment. For now, Linus is full of happy wiggles and slurps!

Comments: 1/12/10: Malone is in da house! What a sweet boy; rode well in the car. He seems to be crate trained and possibly house broken. Malone can sit and give paw at the same time. He needs a little polishing on his leash manners. More to come from his foster home.

Comments: 6/1/10: Mathew is a sweet boy who seems to like everyone. He received a clean bill of health at the vet and now has to gain some much needed weight before he can be neutered.

Comments: Update 5/15/10: Max is still patiently waiting for his new home. Everyone who has met Max say’s the same thing…”he is so sweet!”.

After meeting so many people and so many dogs, Max has taught us a few things: 1. Max needs to be with a submissive female or as an only dog. 2. Max would love someone who stays at home for most of the day, but can be left alone if routines for leaving the house are established and maintained. 3. Max is fabulous around children, but not so fabulous around cats. 4. Max counts on his daily walks (or runs) for exercise. Comments: Update 11/19/09: I may not be as young and pretty as I once was, but if you want good company and some love, I'll give you lots. When I want something, I just come to you and let you know. If you ask me what I want, I'll take you to the door, food dish, or water bowl. I like to go for walks, and if I see a cat, I just keep walking. I like cats, but they don't trust me until they get to know me. Kids are my best friends...I play in the yard with them and we run and play ball. Comments: 1/20/10: Missy is a very loving and playful Boxer. She is 6 years old but still acts like a puppy:) She plays ball with her foster brother and sister, will give you her paw, and knows how to sit and catch treats. Missy loves to be near people but will not get on the couch or bed. She is crate trained but does love to be given treats as an award to go inside:) If a man starts to play with her and then stops, Missy runs up to him and tugs his pant legs to get his attention so he'll continue to play! It is so funny:) Missy will be starting heartworm treatment soon. Missy is on the left in both pictures.

Missy seems to be adjusting well to being part of a family. Will you be her FOREVER family?? She hopes so!

Comments: Update 4/20/10: Hi, it's Mr. Buster. Boy am I a changed man now that I live inside with all the comforts. I love to go for daily walks, rides in the car, and chewing my bone. I also get along with little people. The thing I miss most from my other home is a fur sister to play with, so if you have another dog, I would love that. My foster Dad says I have the best disposition (whatever that means). If you are looking for an easy-going boy, please come and meet me. I hope you have a place for me in your family.

Mr.Buster was surrendered because his former owners are moving to a new home that does not allow Boxers. He is a handsome, friendly boy who will tell you more about himself when he gets to know his foster father. [more]

Comments: Update 8/8/10: Murphy is a wonderful girl. She has never had an accident in the house nor has she chewed or destroyed anything. She stays lose in the house all day - no crate needed. Murphy needs an energetic family that will spend time with her and play, as she loves to play. She is fine with other dogs and the neighbor behind the foster family has 8 cats and she is not interested.

Murphy's in great health and very loving!

7/12/10: Hi, I'm Murphy! I've been told I'm a beautiful mahoghany girl that is in great shape! My muscle-toned body is sleek and shiny and my tail is strong, so when I wag it... well, I need to be around older kids so I won't accidently hurt them. I can't help my excitement at being out of traffic. I have good manners in my temporary home. I just wish I had my own place to be loved in forever.

We are unsure of cats or dogs but do suggest older kids because of her tail. More info to come from foster home.

Comments: Update 5/20/10: Osha is a very sweet boy who is learning to sit and stay on command. He will be starting his heartworm treatment this Wednesday. The staff at the vets office says he is real sweet - which we already knew!

5/18/10: Osha came out of Lee County today. He is super skinny but is so sweet... and a leaner. He rode great in the crate and slept during the two hour trip. He will be learning leash walking 101. Osha will be going thru heartworm treatment soon and hopefully will put on some much need weight. He wagged his little nub and gave kisses.
More to come from his foster home once he settles in.

Comments: Update 4/19/10: Petee is doing wonderfully in his foster home. He has adjusted well to the foster family schedule and his boxer foster siblings. He loves having the family company and just wants a family of his own. He has been to see the FBR vet and is ready to go home forever. Petee loves everyone, was raised with cats and his foster family knows he’ll make a wonderful family member. He so loves carrying around a rope toy or something while doing his boxer wiggle. Petee’s very loving. His foster family is working to put a little weight on him as he’s skinny, but he’s really enjoying that!

4/9/10: Petee is a sweet boxer boy who was surrendered due to landlord issues. He is house trained and crate trained. Petee was raised with a cat and is doing fine with the boxer foster siblings. He is very playful and full of boxer bounce. Petee needs to be checked out by FBR vets but will be ready to go to his forever home soon.

Comments: 4/2/10: Polly is a real cutie pie with lots of energy. She has discovered lizards so she loves jumping into the bushes after them. There is more to come after she gets settled and gets checked out by a vet.

Comments: 6/7/10: Randy is just an awesome boy, what more is there to say. He fit in his foster family, that includes both a senior female and young male boxer, in about 2.2 seconds. Randy is a beautiful and friendly young boy that was surrendered because his Dad is re-entering the military and will be shipped out in August. Randy was raised with a cat. He is a typical 16-month-old boy with lots of energy, and he needs someone to give him some exercise and attention. He does counter climb...we'll work on that :) He was crate trained and house trained, but just came into foster care tonight, so I"ll provide updates.

Comments: Update 5/9/10: Rex is a wonderful, playful boxer boy that loves to run, play and swim! He knows sit, stay and loves to please. He will pick out a toy and run around the house and entertain himself with the toy for several minutes and when he's done, he lays down. He doesn't pester you to play, but will bring you the toy if you call him. He loves to get out in the back yard and run around. He loves to chase after a toy and is working on bringing it back. He loves his crate and often while I am working on the computer he will go lay down in his crate. He is still working on understanding that people coming into the home are friends and you don't have to be nervous, but will still need reassurance from his FUR ever home. He is a funny boy and always tries to please. The most unusual thing is, he loves to swim! That's right! He can't wait to go swimming at his foster home. [more]

Comments: Update 6/15/10: Rio's on a mission: she wants her fur-ever home!! Is she persnickety? Persnickety as defined by Webster's is overparticular; fussy. Yes, she is. But a girl can be particular when picking her friends can't she? Rio met a 2-year-old male boxer and they were instant friends; she even shared her food and water with him. However, she's not like that with every dog she meets. She's been friends with an American Bulldog and a Chihuahua, but not so much with a German Shephard puppy and a Great Dane.

If you have another dog, please give Rio a chance and ask about setting up a meeting. If you don't have any other dogs, Rio is an excellent human companion. She's calm in the house, completely house-trained and used to being crated 8-9 hours a day. She'd love to go on daily walks or runs with you and we all need that exercise-buddy don't we?

Comments: Update 6/9/10: Rock-O came from Orange County Animal Shelter and we do not know anything about his previous owner. When Rock-O first came into my home he was a little timid but has now grown into his own (master of the house). Rock-O loves his foster mommy! He loves to be near his human as much as possbile. When going to a new place he must be near her at all times. Rock-O is very sweet natured and low maintenance. He loves going on long walks as well as running with his foster mom. Rock-O enjoys cuddling on the couch or in bed. He is housebroken and there is no need to crate him. When Rock-O gets excited he likes to do the boxer wiggle and jump around. He also enjoys car rides with the windows open. Though small for his age, Rock-O is big in heart and love. He loves people and likes to have any attention that he can. [more]

Comments: 5/18/10: Roo here! Bouncy, bouncy, bouncy ...that's me. I am so full of energy just try to keep up with me! I need to be vetted and spayed, and then I should be ready for adoption. I have a new fur foster brother. Oh, do I chase him, and then he chases me; we have a ball together.

I'll be learning a few things while in my foster home - the normal things that every puppy needs to know, such as sit, stay, shake, come, down, and all that good stuff. Stay tuned for more info from my foster family.

Comments: Update 11/5/09: Rosco has been with us for almost 4 months now. Poor baby. He is living with two old couch potatoes and has gained 12 pounds. He is a hefty 74 pounds now and still just as active. We have converted him from sleeping with us to sleeping on his own pillow. One of his quirks...he loves to growl at me when I am on the computer. I guess he is saying "mom, get off that thing and play with me" He is so silly! He loves to have his tummy rubbed and his favorite thing in the whole wide world is his giant Kong with peanut butter in it. He will go and stand in his crate and wait for me to deliver the kong.

Comments: Update 11/17/09: Hi everybody, Stella Rose here. Yes I know that is quite a name but there is a story behind it. You see, when I was born two years ago to FLBR Minnie Me, my foster grandma called me Rose; when I was adopted, my new family called me Stella. I was returned to FLBR because my family has fallen on hard times and is unable to take care of me, so I am now back with my foster grandma, Lori, who has decided to keep the name Stella so as not to confuse me, but still loves the name Rose, so voila! Stella Rose.

I am 2 years and 3 months old and was one of a litter of seven. When I was born my foster grandma took extra special care to make sure that all of us pups were happy and secure in the world we were born into. [more]

Comments: Update 1/18/10: For 3 years Roxie was in a crate or on a chain while her owner worked 13 hours a day. She had little bonding or attention, no boundaries, little socialization, and no training. But her foster family has done wonders with her. Roxie is a tiny, petite little girl with the cutest little face you have ever seen on a full grown boxer. She stands about 18 inches at the shoulder, with a perfect litle boxer body. Although she is three, Roxie acts and plays like a one year old. She is learning boundaries, obeys and is bonded to her foster mother, likes people, LOVES her fur siblings and LOVES to play non-stop all day. At night she cuddles up in a recliner and sleeps in a crate next to the other two dogs. She gets along well with kids about 8 to 10 years or older, but she hasn't been around younger kids. [more]

Comments: 12/3/09: I am a happy and energetic young lady that was surrendered to the shelter by an elderly owner who loved me enough to know I needed to be with a family with activity and exercise. I have the most unusual tail that makes me special, they tell me.

Comments: 8/17/10: Sadie is my name and I am looking for a home with my sweet brother Diesel. When he is away from me, I get a bit anxious, so I really want to go wherever he goes. RIght now I am working on gaining some weight and, like my brother, learning leash manners. I love chasing lizards or any small creature I find in the bushes. Also I am housebroken, crate trained, know how to sit, and enjoy sitting on the furniture when I can sneak up there. Most of the time I like to lie around with human companions and really want to be someone's "special" girl. So please, when looking at Diesel, don't forget about me. And when looking at me, don't forget about Diesel ;-)

Comments: 1/11/10: Hi there, Sadie Sue here. I had a rough start from the very beginning being rescued from an abusive home. The lady that rescued me meant well, but did not know that beautiful Boxers like myself are supposed to be pampered and should live inside with my family. Another Boxer lover saved me from the snow and cold and brought me on a long car ride to Florida. She tried to make it work, and did not want to give me up, but her Alpha dog would not let me live there with them.

I just arrived at my new foster home and boy howdy, do I love it here. I now have a big Boxer brother, a Boxer sister, and a little Doxie to play with. We all get along well. [more]

Comments: 4/13/10: Little Sandy is quite the sweetheart and practically a mini-boxer. She's petite and weighs in at 45 pounds. She's playful and runs about 100 MPH when you throw the tennis ball. She has lived with other dogs and can learn to get along with them if given enough time. Her initial reaction to other dogs is fear and she acts it out by barking, growling, etc. Sandy would do wonderful in an only-dog home and is already house trained and crate trained. She only chews the things she's supposed to -- stuffed toys and rubber kongs!

Comments: 1/8/10: Hi! Sanford here. I've been out roaming the streets of Orlando with a small female English bulldog and we got caught on the run. After a crazy few days, I have arrived at my new foster home and am very happy to finally have a place to call home base. I have been super sweet to my foster family and my fur sisters. My bigger fur brother and I don't quite see eye-to-eye, but we are working on peace and harmony. Because of this, if you are considering me, I might show you my best behavior in a home as an only dog or with a female fur sister or two. (We're not sure about cats or children, yet...but my foster mom will let you know in a few days. [more]

Comments: Update 4/27/10: We cannot say enough wonderful things about this sweet little girl. Sasha is so well behaved - with people, kids, other dogs, on a leash, in the car, etc. She no longer sleeps in her crate at night, but rather sleeps next to her foster boxer brother on their blankets and pillows. We've also left her out of the crate while being away from home for an hour or two - without any problems or accidents.

Sasha is on Hills Prescription I/D food which has worked wonders with her digestive system. We have her on a feeding schedule and make sure she gets outside on a regular basis. [more]

Comments: 5/9/10: Shadow is a beautiful, calm boy who has been in two previous homes and due to circumstances beyond his control, was placed into a shelter, then another home, and then yet another home before he came to rescue. He is well-mannered, walks well on a leash, does not jump up, is crate trained, and is calm with kids. More to come as we get to know him.

Comments: Update 1/22/10: I arrived at my foster parents' house from training on this past Sunday. I sat perfect in the car for the whole 2 hours and loved on my new skin parents, 14-year-old brother, 16-year-old sister and my 2-year-old Dogo Argentino and 8-year-old Lab fur sisters (not to mention the cats, hamster, frogs, turtles and fish). They said I had no attention span and needed lots of direction, but my foster mom set my rules and that was all it took. She says she has never seen such a gentleman. I walk perfectly on a heel while on my leash, sit and stay when asked and NEVER jump on anybody. I even know what 'easy' and 'wait' means. I am very respectful around all the kids in the neighborhood (haven't met any toddlers yet though) and sit while they pet me. I get excited and do my Boxer wiggle, but I'm really a pretty laid back guy.[more]

Comments: 2/22/10: Sixpack was picked up his two brothers. They all rode well in the car and tumbled around playing as soon as they got out. Sixpack is the largest of the three and the most calm. He has very big paws! They slept all through the night and were ready for action in the morning. Sixpack is not available as he is in a foster to adopt home.

Comments: Update 11/22/09: Sky here! Well, I had a blast at the boxer Bash. I got along with every person and every dog. I just like everyone. I met a lot of people and some seemed very interested in me, but so far I have not heard from anyone. I will keep waiting for my forever home but in the meantime I am enjoying my foster home - foster parents and brothers. I have a new favorite game that is a combination of keep away and ring around the rosy. I get a toy and go round and round the couch with Hopper in hot pursuit. Hopper usually wins but we have fun. I also love to chase a laser light.

Note from mom: Sky is a great dog. She is still working on her issues with loud noises but is doing better. She loves to cuddle and gives the most dainty boxer kisses.[more]

Comments: Update 5/28/10: Stubbs here - I have made some very good friends in rescue, but my best friend is Annie. I have learned my manners both with other dogs and people. I am looking for a loving but firm owner who will remind me if I have forgotten where I put my manners. I am a small Boxer boy and I'm very healthy. I would love to be adopted with my Annie as I have come to depend upon her, but I can be adopted alone. I would love to meet you.

Comments: 3/15/10: Hello, my name is Sugar Ray. I am new around here and arrived at my foster mom's house a few days ago. I hopped up into the back seat and curled up nice and quiet. Once we got home I met the resident dogs and my skin teen siblings. My foster mom gave me a nice bath, it felt great and I walked around proud and handsome. I met my fur sisters and man are they fun. That Luna (my 2-year-old fur sister) loves to play with me; in fact, that's how my foster parents gave me my name. I have this great play right hook, she didn't even see it coming. I know I'm a boxer but my foster mom said she's never seen a right hook on a dog. We have been playing and having fun. I greet my family without jumping on them, but if you let me I'm on your lap in a quick minute to curl up and snuggle. [more]

Comments: Update 2/22/10: Swamper is 70 pounds of puppy love. He is super affectionate and playful; at the same time he can be mellow for his age. Swamper is a complete doll. He is great with children and other dogs and minds his manners very well. Swamper has been nothing but a great guy since he arrived in our home.

2/15/10: My sister Keeley and I are returning to FBR. Will write more after I meet my new foster family. [more]

Comments: Update 11/2/09: Thoth thinks he is a lap dog... really! He gets along okay with others, but he would be fine as the lone dog as he really wants the attention. Thoth is easy and will be a great addition to his forever family.

Update 10/29/09: Hello ladies! Remember that guy in High School or college that didn't have to advertise the fact that he was cool? That would be me, Thoth. Don't worry about pronouncing it, just call me "Mr. T". Those pesky teeth that were bothering me are fixed. The doc says I am ready to play and gives lots of kisses. This guy that feeds me says that out of the 9 or 10 boxers that have been through here I am the most laid back and cool of all. [more]

Comments: 6/11/10: Tiger is a happy little man who loves everybody and everything. He has a bad eye that was extremely swollen and after examination, an air gun pellet was found. The eye will be removed in an expensive surgery and after a short recovery, he will be available for adoption.

Tiger: Wow! I am so happy to find people who like me and let me give them kisses as I have so many to give. When that sweet lady came in that jail cell to get me, she told me this was the first day of my new good life and I knew she was telling the truth. She took me on a ROADTRIP and I am now in a Boxer Hotel with some great foster buddies who took me in and showed me the ropes - like where to do my business and stuff, and I listened and did well. As much fun as it is here, I know after my surgery I will need my own home that will be mine forever... and even with just one eye, I'll be loved!

Comments: 12/14/09: Tina is a very petite sweetie pie who cannot stop the wiggle dance. She was very happy when FLBR rescued her from the shelter. She needs to be spayed and then begin heartworm treatment before finding her forever home. More will be posted as her foster family gets to know her.

Comments: 5/6/10: Whitney is an adorable 2-year-old boxer girl who can hear. She just arrived in her foster home and settled in nicely. Whitney was immediately smitten with the resident male boxer in the home. She seems to know some basic obedience, or at least is following cues from her foster brother. Per the vet, she is healthy and ready to find her furever home. More to come as the foster home gets to know her.

Comments: Update 12/31/09: Willie here again! I am just letting everyone know that I am still here. I am enjoying my foster home and playing with my foster brothers. I love my Frisbee and ball, but my whole life doesn't revolve around them. I enjoy long walks (doesn't have to be raining) and cuddling. I didn't like my pictures so I had my foster dad take new ones (aren't I handsome). So, if you enjoy the same things as me then maybe we are a match. We can meet and get to know each other first and see what happens from there. If we like each other I might be willing to let you take me to my new furever home! [more]

Comments: 2/1510: This handsome boy's family has fallen on hard times and can no longer afford two dogs. Zeus has been raised with a female Boxer and a cat. He is very well mannered and has had training by his previous owner. He has lots a Boxer wiggles and kisses for everyone he meets. More to come after he visits the vet.
