Comments: 12/16/09: Hi everyone, my name is Yuki (you-key) - that means "snow" in Japanese. I was rescued from an animal shelter, and I took a long ride to my new foster home. I like to ride in the car; I will sleep if it's a long ride. My new foster home has a little furry girl they call a "cat"; she's cool. I like the boxers next door, but foster Mom says we can't play cuz I was just spayed and should not run and play hard for another week. That's okay with me, I've had enough puppies. I like kids and I really like people that are nice to me - I was not always treated with a kind hand. I know now I am safe and am starting to show my personality.

Comments: Update 8/6/09: Hi, Matilda here. First off, I must tell you that my foster dad is taking such good care of me. I've already put on 15 pounds and I'm looking pretty good! I started treatment for those pesky heartworms a few weeks ago, but they say it will take a while since I have a heavy case.

I'm really happy now, sweet and submissive (I overheard them talking!) Although I like being around people inside, I get a little spooked when I'm outside on my leash and people come around me. The vet said I had some type of trauma to my mouth because a few of my teeth are broken off, and he also found BBs under my skin. There are some bad people out there, but from now on, I'm avoiding them for sure! Check back here soon to see how I'm doing! [more]

Comments: 11/19/09: Tattoo is a sick boy right now but should be ready to become a part of your family soon. He is good with kids and other dogs. Even though he is not feeling well, he had nothing but kisses and nub wags for everyone at the vet! More to come as we get to know him better.

Comments: Update 11/5/09: Oscar here!!!! Want to be showered with kisses and love when you come home from work each day? I'm the doggie just for you!! I'm a fun little boy looking for a forever home to spread my love and affection. I can be goofy sometimes, swinging my toys around and being a silly dog! I love giving kisses, hanging and watching TV or playing outside. I am house and crate trained, but prefer to be the only dog in your castle! Comments: 11/17/09: Rocky is awesome. He was so happy to "get out of jail" and back into a regular home. He is getting along very well with his foster brother and sister boxers. He is crate and house trained, sits, stays, shakes. He needs to gain a few pounds. He's a pleasure to foster and he's just looking for you!

Comments: 11/22/09: Sitara is a sweet girl whose family has fallen on hard times and cannot provide the home Amara and Sitara have always had. Sitara has a cute little brown spot on the top of her head. She is crate trained and would love to cuddle with you. Sitara and Amara are littermates and are very bonded so we would like to adopt them out together. If not, Sitara needs to go to a home with another dog as she has never been without her sister and gets very stressed when they are apart. These two sisters get along with all size dogs and lived with a 5-year-old boy and cats. They like to visit the dog beach and dog park....although Sitara isn't too fond of the water.

Comments: 12/16/09: Whew! Am I glad to be out of that shelter! I was not happy with all those barking dogs and the noise. I shook so bad that the staff at the shelter let me roam around the people at the front desk and I showed my appreciation by kissing everyone over and over! Was I ever glad to see the Rescue come and get me out. I was told I am show quality as I stand and walk like a Prince. I was surprised they named me Ruckas - should be a little more eloquent to show my grand stature. Oh well, my new foster Dad said he'd fix that. I walk well on a leash and don't have any nasty worms! Foster Dad will give an update on me after he gets to see how great I really am.

Comments: 12/12/09: I am a beautiful girl who is full of life. I don't yet know that my owner is having to send me away. I live with kids and other dogs.

Comments: Update 11/22/09: Hopper here... Good news everyone. My foster parents are going to adopt me and keep me furever. Just waiting on mom to finish the paperwork. Comments: 11/20/09: Harley is a petite little girl who is very sweet, gives gentle little kisses and rides well in the car. She likes other dogs and is somewhat scared of kitties. She seems to have had multiple litters of puppies and is ready to be treated as the princess that she is. More to come after she is vetted and gains some much needed weight.

Comments: Update 11/17/09: Zeus is a very gentle boy. He loves to play with his three foster brothers. He has some basic training like sit and shake, but needs a refresher course with being on the leash. He was around a lot of adults and children of all ages at the adopt-a-thon and had no issues with jumping on people. He greeted every person and dog equally with wiggles and kisses. A little dachshund nipped at Zeus and he just looked at him like it was no big deal.

Comments: Update 10/8/09: My enrollment name is Secret but I lovingly answer to Shyla, the name I got from my last home. I have been told I am a very sweet girl with a calm disposition, "very laid back", but yet I can run for the ball and drop it at your feet and run again. Oh, I also sing with the ball in my mouth but you have to come visit me to see me perform. I also love chasing lizards! I get an A+ in home manners as I don't tear anything up and my foster mom has given me my own "room" with a bed so I am furniture spoiled. But if you take me in and don't want me on the furniture, you will just need to teach me stay off. I really like kids, but other dogs and cats....not so much. Comments: 11/12/09: My family has a new baby and is not able to give me the attention I need. I live with several children and love them. I like most dogs but do not care to go to the beach as those dogs are my least favorite. I am not familiar with cats so I don't know how I would do with them.

Comments: Update 10/17/09: Hey everyone, man the last couple of months have been a wild ride!! I have been helping my foster family with a little boy boxer. They called him "Dude". He was just a baby, but I helped Mom with everything; I taught him how to box like a real Boxer. I let him play with my toys and sleep in my bed, and even let him chase me around the yard. I would slow down every once in a while so he would think he caught me. We really had some fun.

Foster Mom here, well folks, it just goes to show this little girl has a whole lot of love to give. She was such a patient teacher for Dude, and showed us her many talents. This girl plays like a 3 year old, but has the maturity to know when to chill out. She will be a wonderful addition to a loving home. Is this home that she is asking for yours? [more]

Comments: Update 9/27/09: Do you have a tiara for me? OK, a diamond collar? I guess a girl can settle for a collar with crystals or rhinestones. I'm Lady and I'm a princess. I am absolutely gorgeous, have one blue and one brown eye, and really like my new brothers, Jake and Brutus. I get super excited when I come out of my crate, but after a nice prance in the yard or walk through the neighborhood (I'm a pro at walking on a leash), I calm down. A four years young girl like me has to get her energy out and keep her girlish figure! My foster mom (Really she's my lady in waiting) says I am potty trained and will listen to a calm, strong voice when need be. She also says even though I know how to sit beautifully, I could use more etiquette training and that I should be easy to train because I listen so well. Update 4/20/09: Loverboy is on the look-out for his new fur-ever home!! He loves to play and give hugs and kisses. His belly is mostly pink with white fur growing all over it. Even his toes look white again!!
Whoever adopts Loverboy will have to agree to treat his allergies, give him weekly baths, and provide all the medicines that he needs to control his yeast infections forever.
His foster mom discovered a new growth on his ear, so we will have the vet check that out. [more]

Comments: Update 8/6/09: I am looking for a foster home or an adoptive family who will love me for who I am. In my previous home, I was forced to live outside and was never allowed in the house. I really don't know how I would be with other dogs now because it my last home the resident female would attack me a lot!! I got along great with the cat in the home and I even shared my bowl of food with him. I need someone who will love me unconditional and teach me the right way to live - I am willing to learn. Comments: Update 8/4/09: Chewy is a "trip". When he does something wrong and it is discovered, he knows it. He will run to the back door to go outside. Yet less than two minutes later, he will come in the house as if nothing has happened. He is smart and knows his commands. However, if he does not agree with it, he will ignore it until you call his name. Then he will look at you as if to say "me, do you mean me?" He is somewhat of a barker and loves to run and jump straight up especially when another animal is outside of the fence. He tries to play with the cats, but has never harmed one. He needs an active family who will give him attention and accept his active ways. He is crate trained. However, at night he is bed trained -- my bed. [more]

Comments: Update 8/20/09: Sawyer is doing well in his foster home and is enjoying and adapting well to his new life. He is learning a lot from his foster brother and sister. Sawyer has a lot of energy and wants to play, play, play. He gets walked 2 times a day, plus lots of play time with toys, and a lot of playing, wrestling, and boxing with our male and female dog. Sawyer loves to play with both his foster siblings and run and play in the backyard. He has no sense of personal space and will sit or lay right on you. We are still working on putting some much needed weight on him; he should be about 70 pounds. He is doing well with crating and spends about 3-4 hours a day during the work week in his crate. [more]

Comments: Hi, my name is Kona and I am looking for a new home. Ain't I the cutest thing? My foster mom says I am a good girl even if I am a goofy puppy. I love to do the Boxer kidney bean dance and my wiggle is just beautiful. My foster brothers think I am adorable, even grouchy old Duke. I love to play, play, play and then play some more. I am a smart girl, I know I need to go outside to potty. I also know to sit and lay down, but I am so excited I can't sit still for long, and I am pretty good on a leash. Update 7/22/09: Hello. I'm Odie! I'm a fun-loving puppy and I'm looking for my forever family. My foster family has two boxers... 1 girl, and Brooklyn, another rescue boxer. We get along great. On weekends we go to the dog park and I play well with the other dogs. My foster family thinks I am loving, playful, and am a great sleeping buddy. I like to play, but am not wild at all. If you give me a command I will obey. My fosters say I am goofy and a great dog. Please find a place for me in your family.

Comments: Hemmingway is a sweety! He is calm for his age, although he does like to give you gentle "hugs." His nub moves 100 mph! While we do not yet know how he will be with other animals, his posturing near other animals while at the vet seemed friendly and ready to play! More to come as we get to know him better. Comments: Update 7/22/09: Hailey has almost completed her heartworm treatment. She is a playful energetic pup. She loves her toys and gets very excited and wants to share with us. Many a stuffed animal has gone for a walk with us. She will be available end of July and looks forward to meeting her new forever family!

Update 6/26/09: Hailey is adjusting to her foster home and is a delightful female. She is friendly with cats, dogs, kids and our live-in mailman! She is housebroken, walks well on a leash, plays, eats well and wags her tail faster than any I have seen! She loves her back rubbed and licks the air when getting loved on! She's very quick with a kiss and a smile! Hailey has just had her heartworm treatment so she'll be available for adoption the end of July. [more]

When I came into rescue, I was in pretty rough shape. I was not spayed, I had every parasite imaginable in my poor little emaciated body. Everything I ate literally went right through me. Because of that, I couldn't gain any weight, was lethargic and just wanted to lay around. My foster mom says even though I must have felt really bad, I always had tail waggins, kisses and just wanted to be a part of everything that was going on. The one amazing thing was no heartworms (whatever that is - but my foster family was really happy about it). [more]

Read Pauly's Story

Comments: Poor Pauly! He was hit by a car in St. Petersburg on Tuesday and his family brought him to a vet's office to be surrendered to the SPCA. Lucky for him, FBR rescued him Friday and he will be evaluated by an orthopedic vet on Monday, as his front-left leg is broken. His vaccines have been brought up to date but he still needs a heartworm test and to be neutered. He's 2 years old, and as you can see, he's beautiful! He just arrived at his foster home hours ago, but has shown good house manners, has been friendly towards the resident miniature pinscher and wasn't overly interested in the cat--who made 3 fleeting appearances! Please keep checking back on Pauly's progress as more will be posted as we get to know him and learn more about the condition of his leg.

Comments: Poor Lorenzo just wants to give you a kiss. He wants to give you one so badly that he will stand on his back broken leg just to get to your face. His former humans took excellent care of him and were devastated when a simple accident turned into a broken leg that would need expensive treatment. Giving him up was the hardest thing they had to do, but they knew Florida Boxer Rescue could give him the care he needs. Lorenzo will get the treatment he needs, but the expense is hitting us hard. Comments: Update 8/10/09: Herman went visiting and met a cat and two boxers. He looked at the cat, then walked all around her with his nose trying to figure out where her food bowl smell was coming from. He got nose to nose with her, she hissed, his tail was wagging, and then he went looking for the food bowl again. Herman had a great time running around with his new boxer friends.

Original comments: Herman is a wonderful young boy that was rescued from a shelter. He is house and crate trained, gets along wonderfully with his two foster boxer siblings, and will have fun gaining a few needed pounds. He has a natural tail and huge underbite that just add to his very loving personality. What a great kid!

Comments: Update 7/7/09: My foster mom found the neatest toys under the couch! I'm not sure why she would keep toys under the couch since you can't play with them there. But my "inner puppy" came out when I heard that toy SQUEAK! I LOVE SQUEAKY TOYS! I love walking around the house and just making them squeak! My foster mom will sometimes play fetch with me and I will run to get my squeaky toy before my foster brother and sisters do! (There are three of them so I have to be quick!) I chew on them so much that I wear them out, but then Mom always finds more under the couch. It must be a magical couch! I just need love and SQUEAKY toys to find my forever home! [more]

Comments: Update 8/14/09: Well, Stryker has been neutered and he is fine and dandy after that ordeal. We also had good news regarding his HW+ results. He is light positive and will only need to take Heartguard once a month for 6 months YEAH!!!!!. So he is ready to go to his forever home next week. Now on to the good stuff about this gorgeous boxer boy. He is so pretty as only a true boxer lover can know. He does behave like a boxer with all the wiggles and jumps and slurps you could ever want. But this boy is very smart and is learning more everyday. He is a champion walker on a leash and is placing well at the door. He understands the "nothing in life is free" training and is working excellently for his food. [more]

Comments: Update 8/2/09: Jiro here! Boy do I love my foster home! My foster mom has almost got me potty trained (except when I race out of my kennel...sometimes I get so excited I don't make it to the door). I have two foster siblings, Molly and Beamer. Beamer puts up with me but that Molly...she plays a mean game of tag! We LOVE running in the backyard together really, really fast. My foster parents think I would do best in a home with a fenced yard and maybe a fur brother or sister to help get some of my puppy energy out!

Comments: Update 7/7/09: Licorice is doing well in her foster home with her fur brother and sisters. She is shy at first, but once she gets to know you she likes to give small boxer kisses. Her black coat makes her classy but she can be boxer goofy at times. She walks well on a leash and will either lie at your feet or in her crate. Currently she is crated while her foster mom is away. All she wants is to be loved. She would make a great addition to any home.

Hercules is a very happy and loving boy, full of kisses and wiggles. He is full of energy, likes to run and play fetch. He does know a few voice commands, like sit and stay (well sort of) and shake. He very much likes his 8 year old niece, but he doesn’t quite realize his strength so he would do better with children just a little older. Like most boxers, he really loves his people and wants to please them. He is very attentive to you and returns your effort with him seven-fold. Hercules has finished his treatment for hook worms and is now gaining weight. He is ready and raring to be adopted. Hercules just needs someone to let him know what is expected of him, he wants to please, just let him know how. He will surely bring lots of joy to someone ready to be immersed in Boxer Love. [more]

Comments: Update 5/30/09: Hi everybody, TJ here! A really nice man (Foster Dad) and his friend came and rescued me from Boxer jail! Boy was I so excited to get out of there. They took me to a really great home, where so far, I’ve met a lot of nice people! My foster mom and dad always compliment me on how well I behave. I don’t make messes in the house and I am crate trained too! I like to give kisses to the neighbor’s poodle; we get along really well. I’m not too sure what “aww” means, but that’s what all my foster mom’s girlfriends say. I love car rides and snuggling in bed, but I know I’m not allowed on the couch. Comments: Update 6/9/09: Pixie is settling in quite well. She may be a petite boxer, but she has a huge personality. She loves to cuddle and can actually fit in your lap. She gets along well with her fur foster brother, as well as two cats. I don't have young kids, but with her loving demeanor, I don't see Pixie not enjoying the company of children. Comments: Sprite is a tiny little girl that was left tied up at Orange County Animal Services in the middle of the night. She does have her hearing but is missing most of her hair at this time. Sprite does not have demodex so we are hoping it is due to poor living conditions and nutrition. Until we get the sores healed and the skin problem under control she will not be available for adoption.

Comments: My name is Lucky. My foster Mom thinks I look like the German Boxers that won titles in the 1940s, except I only weigh in at 50 pounds. Mom says this makes me really cute, almost puppy-like. I am a perfect gentleman, never potty anywhere except outside, love car rides, and am a kissy boxer. Mom says that anyone who meets me will fall in love immediately. I have been told I have a perfect temperment, (I even like cats) and will follow you everywhere. If you are looking for a great boxer in a small package, I'm your guy.

Comments: Update 6/9/09: Gabby is such a sweet wiggle butt and she cannot get enough love and attention. She currently has an allergy that is being treated to stop her itching. She would do great in a home with children over 6 years old or a couple that can spend a lot of time and attention for Gabby's affection. She is truly a gem that will make a family happy.

Original comments: Gabriella is a sweet girl who was picked up from an animal shelter as a stray. She is on the thin side and protective of her food bowl, but with a little buildup of trust she should be fine. She has had no problems with her foster brother and actually enjoys the kissing and attention he gives her. [more]

Comments: My name is Journey and I have really had a wild one. One night, about a month or so ago, I forget exactly when, I was attacked by two dogs, an intact male and intact female. I don't even remember why I was out alone that night. They went after me for a really long time and all I could think to do was get away. I made a lot of noise hoping the people in the house
nearby would hear me, but I guess they had the TV turned up too loud or something. I finally managed to crawl under the car in the driveway where my attackers couldn't reach me. They finally gave up and probably went to look for somebody else to pick on. I was hurt really bad; they tore up my back end and bit me on the chest and front legs too. I never figured to wake up in the morning. [more]

Comments: Update 5/14/09: Hey everyone, I wanted to stop in and say "HI". Man I am feeling so good now; you saw me earlier and I had really itchy skin. We got that cleared up and I love the bath my foster Mom gives me, I stand very nice and still. I have learned 7 different signs, they are, sit, stay, stop, look at me, come, outside, and good job. They are easy. My foster family said they will teach my new forever family the different signs, no problem. I love other dogs and will go anywhere with you. I walk nice on the leash and like to ride in the car.

Foster Mom here... "D" is such a sweet soul. He is very smart and has learned sign language and house rules so quickly. He does not like to be crated, he just wants to be with his skin family. He feels vibration and will react by looking for you. He also uses his nose to find you. [more]

Comments: Update 5/31/09: Hi there! This is Ike's foster mom. While he's busy playing, I thought I would tell you what I know about him now. He is such a gem of a boxer! Ike is now healed from neutering and has gained some weight. With the help of the Vet and antibiotics, he is now well from the Kennel Cough. He took his pills easily and has tolerated ear cleaner and toenail trimming very well.

Ike is now a vibrant, precious 2 year old boxer! He loves to play with our two resident boxers and is very gentle with cats. Our home does not include children, so I have no information on how he would be with them. He's a good rider in the car and a good sleeper at night. What a good cuddler he is! He is very affectionate and loves affection in return. His cheeks are very kissable! Of course, he also loves treats! [more]

Comments: Ruby is a precious jewel. She was picked up as a stray with Licorice in Citrus County. Since they both have been mommas, isn't sweet that FBR rescued them just before Mother's Day??

Ruby is a very petite, classic fawn with a narrow white streak between her soulful eyes. She is shy but full of Boxer wiggles and dances. This true jem will be looking for a loving family that can give her the life she deserves.

Comments: Update 5/13/09: Hi everyone! Boy is my skin looking and feeling better! I still need some hair on my chest and tummy, but I'm sure in time it will grow back too. I feel so good it was hard for my foster mom to get me to sit still long enough to take a picture! I love to play with my foster brothers, Jake and Brutus. I especially like to look out the window for lizards. Did my foster mom tell you I am the best lizard hunter there is? She has to watch me very closely because I'm as quick as they are and mom doesn't want me to eat one and get sick. Gotta go, Brutus is barking for me! [more]

I have had a pretty rough couple weeks, but things seem to be getting better. I was picked up by Animal Control and taken to the shelter. I was in heat, about 15 pounds underweight, and was covered with fleas. I still have demodex mange.

Since then, I have been spayed and am being treated for the demodex mange. I also got my rabies shot, was de-wormed, and treated to get rid of the fleas! The amazing thing was that I tested negative for heart worms - not sure what that is but the two-leggeds seemed really pleased that I didn't have them. [more]

Comments: 12/8/09: Clifford passed away today. Clifford was adopted by a loving family who gave him the best life a boxer could ask for. He was a great boy and his family thought he was near perfect. Clifford's family lost their previous dog Buck and never thought another could replace him. But Clifford found his own place in their hearts and died knowing he was very loved. He will be greatly missed.

Update 5/14/09: Clifford here! The nice man who took these fabulous pictures of me said I'm big, strong, friendly, and well-trained/behaved (and I know several commands!) Time for a foster family for me....hint, hint.

Clifford has been shuffled around. His original owner had to move and Clifford went to live with someone else. Unfortunately, his new owner couldn't keep him. Clifford thinks he is a lap dog and rides well in the car. He has been around older children and may need a slow intro to younger children.
Clifford needs to be neutered and his urniary tract infection cleared up. Check back once he gets into a foster home and see what his foster family has to say.

Comments: Update 4/22/09: Valentino has been medically cleared for adoption!!

WOW ! Do I LOVE Florida Boxer Rescue! They sprung me from a cage and let me sleep in a really comfy home. There are fun kids and fun dogs here. They also have furry things called cats. But Dad said - NO ! So I guess I can't chase them.

Poor Valentino was found wandering the streets. The vet said that he has parasites, various infections and is heart worm positive. Valentino must have been neglected for a long time, even before he got lost, because his dew claws were so long that they curled all the way around into his pads. Well, thanks to all of the generous donations from all of you folks, FBR will treat him for his ailments. Then this handsome boy will be looking for his FUR-ever home. He will be available in May!

Comments: Update 3/19/09: Woof's new everyone? It's Nitro here! I am a brindle 6-year-YOUNG male. I love to go for walks and I'm very good on a leash! I enjoy getting a bath... I really just enjoy anything that has do with me getting a good belly and chest rub. They're my absolute favorite! Well, here's more from my foster mom. Hopefully one of you out there will come and meet me to take me home!

Nitro has been with us for a little over a week and boy is he great to have around. He is the sweetest guy! He is crate-trained, but he does get a little nervous when you first put him in there, but he settles down quickly. He is good with my 2- year-old daughter, but a home with older children would be best, as it seems he's just a little too pushy for smaller kids. And he would love to be in a home with another dog; he loves to have companionship. [more]

Comments: Update 3/28/09: Gator is a very sweet boy who is learning all kinds of new things, like sit, stay, come and down. He loves to play with our 7-year-old granddaughter and especially loves his playdates with our 4-month-old 'grandpuppy'. He takes to the crate without complaint when we leave, as well as overnight, although he would rather sleep in bed with us. He walks well on the leash and loves going for car rides. When he gets bored he does like to eat...shoes, pillows, etc. We're still working on that as we realize that he just needs more exercise. Gator would love a sister or brother! [more]

Comments: My name is Titan, but my foster mom calls me Barney. She says the name Barney fits me better, and that I need a new name to go with my new life. Right now, I am very scared. Mom gave me a bath, cut my nails and brushed my teeth..WOW! She says I am very smart, and willing to please, because I learned "off the couch" in a snap. I lived with three other dogs and one of them was very mean to me. Now, my foster boxer sister and boxer brother are teaching me to trust and play. As soon as my leg gets all better, I will be ready to go to my forever home. Mom says that when I leave her, I will be a "gem of a gentleman".. Check back!!

Comments: Update 4/5/09: Good news! Secret has recovered from all her physical injuries, as well as from heartworm treatment. She has been medically cleared and is ready for her forever home.

Update 4/2/09: Secret came to her foster home with two broken legs and heartworms. She was a little underweight and had the filthiest ears ever. But on her second day her ears got cleaned (using 20 cotton swabs) and we think she was so happy to be able to hear well again that she didn’t mind. She also doesn’t mind getting her nails clipped or being bathed.[more]

Comments: Update 3/13/09 - Priscilla has slowly gained weight and is now spayed. She began her heartworm treatment this week and must be kept completely quiet and confined for the next 30 days, including leashed when outside for potty, which is going to be difficult for this active young boxer. She will return to the vet for further evaluation the middle of April.
Priscilla is a feisty and mischevious little girl, full of tricks and poking her nose into anything of interest within her reach. She requires a watchful eye to keep her out of trouble and must be kenneled when no one is home. More to come once Priscilla is re-evaluated next month. [more]

Comments: Update 3/19/09: My foster family and everyone I meet always says how sweet I am. I like to play and have fun with my foster dog sister. When we go to the dog park I get along great with the other dogs. I really like to be pet on the head. My foster family hasn't had me around any toddlers, but I do get along with their 11-year-old son and his friends. I don't chew up things, or go to the bathroom in the house. Overall, my foster family thinks I am great little dog. [more]

Comments: Update 4/13/09: 'The Sky's the Limit' ! Hi! Sky here! My turn! Foster Mama took me to this very nice Vet and I am super healthy! Except he says I have wormies in my Heart, but foster mama told me I'll be ok. My foster sib had wormies too and she is fine now! If she can do it, so can I!

I'm told I'm a Velcro Dog, a good thing I'm guessing :) and I am learning to play with 'stuff'! I also learned a new word - WRONG - not sure I like it so much, but afterwards I don't get put out or hit, so I really don't mind :) [more]

Update 5/27/08: Shylo is doing just fine in his foster home; he is such a good boy. Shylo is a happy boy who thinks he is a puppy. He especially loves sitting in your lap or just being with you. If you are out, he will wait patiently for your return. Then he will reward you with lots of wiggles and nub wagging, Boxer style. NO jumping, NO chewing; Shylo is perfectly housetrained. [more]

I don't really care about cats, and as long as I have boundaries I should be OK around older kids and other dogs. FBR has a behaviorist who is willing to work with the foster home in setting these boundaries. I look forward to having them so I can be the great boxer girl everyone at FBR knows I am!

Her foster family will be giving her some much needed TLC. More info to come.
